Wendy Baribeault was 17 when she left her Griswold, Connecticut, home for a walk to a Route 12 convenience store on June 13, 1984. She was followed, abducted, and her battered, partially clothed body was found two days later partially concealed in a stone wall less than a quarter of a mile from her family’s home. Investigators determined she had been sexually assaulted and strangled.

Witnesses reported a thin white man with glasses in a suit driving a blue Toyota following Wendy along the highway. That lead led investigators to DMV records; the first match was Michael Bruce Ross, an insurance salesman who lived about three miles from where Wendy’s body was recovered. Ross confessed to Wendy’s murder and to several other killings from 1981 to 1984, providing details investigators said only the killer would know. He was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death in 1987.

Does anyone remember seeing a blue Toyota or a suited man on Route 12 in Griswold around June 13, 1984?
