Does anyone else find it eerie how the Flat-Tire Murders connected so many lives, yet left behind so few definitive answers? Elyse Rapp's tragic story has stuck with me ever since I first read about it. The idea that such a vibrant young woman's life could be cut short under such mysterious and brutal circumstances is unsettling, to say the least. I recently read an old article mentioning that Elyse's car was found near one of those infamous canals. It strikes me as horribly sad that these locations were likely chosen on purpose—remote enough to hide unspeakable acts, yet familiar enough to the community to instill constant fear. Every time I drive past a canal in south Florida, I can’t help but think of Elyse and the other victims, what they must have endured, and how desperately their families have been seeking closure for decades. I've sometimes wondered if the fact that so many of the victims were near water is somehow significant. Do you think the killer had some connection to these sites, or was it just a manipulative tactic to complicate the investigation? This case just brings up more questions the deeper you delve, and it's heartbreaking that Elyse's family is still without answers after all this time. Thoughts?
