Michael here, just trying to wrap my head around some of the details of Susan Basile's case. I stumbled upon a forum post about how Susan was supposedly lured by Gerald Stano with the promise of a ride to the Starlite Skate Center. What really got me was how this skating rink was such a common hangout spot for kids back then, and Stano apparently knew that. It’s just chilling to think how he could have crossed paths with her there and used that familiarity to his advantage. The fact that Susan and Stano might have recognized each other from this place, a spot that was supposed to be safe and fun, is haunting. It's such a tragic reminder that danger can be hidden in the most unsuspecting places. My heart goes out to Susan’s family. It must have been agonizing every time they drove past that rink, knowing the link it had to their daughter's disappearance. I'm hoping this thread keeps the conversation going so we can learn more and maybe even help prevent similar tragedies from happening. Anyone else find it eerie how predators like Stano can blend into regular community spaces?
