Hector Escobar-Rizo, described as a 27-year-old Hispanic man, was found shot to death on August 2, 2009, in a remote area near Fort Apache and Blue Diamond roads in Las Vegas. His body was discovered in the southern Nevada desert, and the shooting was treated as a homicide.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police identified 40-year-old Fernando Ramirez-Hernandez as the person they believed responsible and by August 21, 2009, had publicly announced him as wanted for murder with a deadly weapon and robbery, warning he should be considered armed and dangerous. Authorities asked the public for information to locate him and help advance the investigation.
Whoever has information about Hector Escobar-Rizo, his movements that day, or Fernando Ramirez-Hernandez’s whereabouts is asked to come forward.
