Michael Foulk was a cab driver from Pensacola, Florida, who was abducted and murdered; his body was later found discarded in a ditch near Fairhope, Alabama.

Investigators focused on John Francis Wille, a white male drifter who committed a series of violent killings across Louisiana, Florida, and Alabama. Wille was known to use varied methods including stabbing, shooting, and strangulation. He was arrested in 1985 and sentenced to life in Florida for the murder of another man; while incarcerated he faced further indictments that included Foulk’s murder. Wille reportedly confessed to several murders, including Foulk’s, during initial interrogations but later recanted.

Wille was later sentenced to death in Louisiana for the rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl; that sentence was eventually commuted to life in prison. Anyone with information about Michael Foulk, his movements, or the Fairhope area at the time is asked to come forward.
