Jose Manuel Flores Jr. was a 10-year-old Hispanic boy from Uvalde, Texas, who was killed on May 24, 2022, during the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. Born November 10, 2011, he lived with his parents, Alyssa Mae Rodriguez and Jose Manuel Flores Sr., and his three brothers and two sisters. Family and community members remembered him as bright, respectful, and loving.

The attacker, identified as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, entered the school armed with a semi-automatic rifle and carried out the attack in a fourth-grade classroom. Ramos was shot and killed by responding law enforcement; no other suspects were involved. Jose’s funeral was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and he was interred at Hillcrest Cemetery. The community has held multiple memorials in his honor.
