Hannah McIntire Johnson, 40, died on November 14, 2015, during a weekend camping trip to wooded property between Tennessee Colony and the Harmony community in East Texas. She had been living in Midlothian, Texas, and owned the land with her partner, Thomas Kamp. Family members present included her parents Carl and Cynthia Johnson, her 6‑year‑old son Kade, Kamp and his two adult sons. Investigators found Hannah and her father Carl dead inside a travel trailer the morning after the attack; other victims were later recovered from a pond behind a nearby residence.

Witness Cynthia Johnson said a white male who introduced himself as William approached the group on an orange tractor, helped pull their vehicle from mud, stayed to drink with them and then accompanied some family members into the woods. The man, later identified as William Mitchell Hudson, was located on his property nearby wearing a blood‑stained shirt; his tractor and surrounding soil showed disturbance. Hudson was arrested and initially booked on murder charges; authorities expanded charges and ultimately charged him in connection with multiple deaths from the incident. Motive remained unclear in early reports, though resentment over the land sale was later mentioned.

Did anyone in the area know the family or see unfamiliar activity around that campsite the weekend of November 14, 2015?
