On September 21, 2009, 16-year-old Justina Constant of Beason, Illinois, was found dead inside her family home. She was a student at Lincoln Community High School and was born January 3, 1993. Authorities determined she and several family members suffered blunt force trauma in what was described as a violent multiple-homicide that left her mother Ruth Gee, stepfather Raymond Rick Gee, a 14-year-old sibling Dillen Constant and an 11-year-old sibling Austin Gee dead; a three-year-old, Tabitha Gee, survived but was critically injured.
Investigators said the scene suggested more than one offender and asked the public to report anyone showing recent injuries such as bruises or scratches. In the weeks after the killings, two men, Christopher Harris, 30, and his brother Jason Harris, 22, were arrested. Indictments allege the Harris brothers entered the home armed with a tire iron, intended robbery and the attempted sexual assault of Justina, and stole an Acer Aspire laptop. Charges included numerous counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder and attempted sexual assault; additional counts against Jason Harris included obstruction of justice for actions such as burning clothes, hiding the computer and giving false statements. Both pleaded not guilty at their initial court appearance.
Does anyone have information about the family, the laptop, or sightings of persons with recent injuries in the community around September 21, 2009?
