A man was killed by gunfire on a Thursday morning in Tuskegee. Quandaries Pollard, a Black / African American male, was shot on September 11, 2025, in the 2900 block of Pruitt Court at about 9:54 A.M. He sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tuskegee police identified and arrested a suspect within hours. Officers located and arrested Kareem Washington in Tuskegee about two hours after the shooting. Police later said Pollard and Washington were acquaintances; the motive has not been released. Washington was taken to the Pike County Detention Facility and was charged with murder, possession of marijuana in the second degree, and tampering with evidence in connection with Pollard’s death. The investigation remains ongoing. Funeral services for Pollard were scheduled for September 25, 2025, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with interment at Mt. Andrew Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Did anyone in Tuskegee know Pollard or Washington and have information that could help the investigation?
