Jesus Monge, 64, was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene on the evening of September 12, 2025, after deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station were dispatched around 7:17 p.m. to the 24000 block of Orange Street in Wildomar, California. A 56-year-old woman was also shot and taken to a local hospital in stable condition. Deputies and paramedics responded as the residential street east of Interstate 15 filled with emergency lights; investigators marked shell casings and traced the path of gunfire while canvassing for witnesses and surveillance footage.
Detectives from the Central Homicide Unit took over the investigation. Within hours authorities identified the deceased as Jesus Monge and, by the end of the weekend, had arrested 33-year-old David Rodolfo Jimenez of Wildomar; he was booked on suspicion of murder and attempted murder with bail initially set at $1 million. Local reports noted the victims and the suspect lived in the same community, but authorities had not publicly detailed a motive.
If anyone in Wildomar witnessed activity on Orange Street that evening or has surveillance footage from near Interstate 15 just after sunset on September 12, 2025, please share what was seen or recorded.
