Tiara Belizaire-Young, 24, was found shot to death on September 10, 2025, inside a home on the 1700 block of Northwest 109th Avenue in Pembroke Pines. Police discovered two victims in the residence: Tiara in a bedroom and Octavis Anthony Myers fatally shot in the garage. Investigators believe the pair had been staying at the house only briefly and that the killings likely occurred a day or two before the bodies were found.
Detectives said early findings indicate the person responsible knew the victims. Attention quickly focused on 27-year-old Isaiah Collins, the homeowners’ grandson. Four days after the bodies were discovered, an off-duty Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted Collins in Miami Gardens; authorities say he ran across the Florida Turnpike, entered a canal, climbed a tree, was shot in the arm during the confrontation, and was taken into custody. Collins was later booked on two counts of first-degree murder with a firearm; Pembroke Pines police said additional charges related to his apprehension could follow in Miami-Dade. As of mid-September 2025, investigators had not released a motive or further details about what led to the shootings.
If anyone knew Tiara, Octavis, or their movements in the days before September 10, please come forward with information that could help investigators.
