Reginald L. Booth, a 39-year-old Black man, was shot multiple times the night of July 29, 2025, on the 1200 block of 9th Avenue South in St. Petersburg. Officers arrived at 9:07 p.m.; Booth was found gravely wounded and taken to Orlando Health Bayfront, where he died from his injuries. The police identified him shortly afterward and opened a homicide investigation centered on the stretch of Ninth Avenue South several blocks from Tropicana Field.
Investigators rapidly traced the events that led to the gunfire and began making arrests. On August 3 two teens, Larrion Boyd and Keshaun Lamb, were arrested and charged with felony murder and armed kidnapping. On August 6 Dnerius McCullough was arrested in Riverview on a Pinellas County warrant and booked on first-degree murder and kidnapping; investigators said he was believed to be the shooter. A fourth suspect, D’antrell Davis, was taken into custody on August 12 and charged with felony murder and kidnapping. Authorities have not publicly detailed a motive.
Did anyone in the area that night see activity on Ninth Avenue South that could help clarify what happened?
