Bryson Saddoris, 21, of Macomb, Illinois, was identified after police responded to a reported homicide at a house in the 600 block of North Randolph Street on July 27, 2025. Officers later located his body inside the residence. Authorities say the violence began after Saddoris had been in a bedroom with two Macomb men using methamphetamine; one of the men, Sean Hayes, allegedly led Saddoris into the kitchen. A neighbor later described a distraught visitor in the early morning hours. Investigators allege Saddoris suffered a fatal shotgun blast to the head followed by additional revolver shots. An autopsy documented projectiles in the head, chest, neck, back, and abdomen, noting the initial head wound would have been fatal.
Investigators say the men tried to clean the scene and burned evidence in a backyard fire pit, and that photos of Saddoris wrapped in a sleeping bag and plastic prompted the tip that brought police to the home. Officers detained Sean Hayes, 37, and Morgan Bearce, 24, and prosecutors initially charged both with two counts of first-degree murder and obstruction of justice. A judge denied their pretrial release. Prosecutors later moved to dismiss the murder charges against Sean Hayes while continuing to pursue the case against Morgan Bearce. Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Does anyone have information about Bryson’s movements that weekend or about activity at the Randolph Street house?
