A neighborhood parking dispute in Fremont escalated to gunfire on the evening of June 20, 2025. Police were called just before dusk to the 39000 block of Overacker Avenue, near railroad tracks, and arrived about 6:42 p.m. Two people had been shot: one suffered non-life-threatening injuries and another, identified days later as Anthony Ant Santos, was found dead at the scene. Authorities described the incident as an exchange of shots between two groups locked in an ongoing quarrel over parking, and said weapons had been displayed earlier the same evening.

Investigators reported they had identified all parties involved, collected witness statements and video, and served search warrants. By the end of June the Fremont Police Department presented the case to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, which declined to file charges at that time. No arrests had been announced; officials said future action could follow if new evidence surfaced. Public reports gave Santos’s name and gender but did not provide his age or other personal details.

Did anyone in the area on Overacker Avenue that evening see or record anything that could help investigators?
