A late-night argument in Reserve, Louisiana, ended with fatal gunfire. On Saturday, September 27, 2025, 21-year-old Tylen Anderson was shot and killed after a verbal dispute with an acquaintance. Deputies were called about a shooting in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue around 9:35 p.m.; a witness reported seeing someone loaded into an orange Dodge sedan that then fled. Responding officers found clothing and a shell casing at the scene.
Less than ten minutes after the call, a patrol officer stopped an orange Dodge on West Airline Highway. The driver, 20-year-old Tyler Bourgeois of LaPlace, told deputies there was a body in the trunk. Officers discovered Anderson’s body; Bourgeois was taken into custody, confessed to shooting Anderson after the argument, and was booked on second-degree murder with bond set at $250,000. Anderson’s family said he grew up in the church and liked playing video games.
Did anyone in Reserve see or hear anything near Railroad Avenue that night that could shed more light on what happened?
