A dispute between two acquaintances in Seat Pleasant, Maryland, turned deadly on the morning of May 16, 2025. Shortly after 9:30 a.m. on the 6400 block of Greig Street, 51-year-old Timothy Furr, a Black man from Baltimore, was shot and killed following an argument.
Authorities say 37-year-old Ray Eugene Williams of Seat Pleasant was observed fleeing the scene and entering his nearby apartment building, prompting a large police response and an Emergency Services Team barricade. The standoff continued into the afternoon; at about 2:00 p.m. Williams was taken into custody without further incident and was charged with first and second-degree murder. Investigators reported the two men knew each other and that the shooting arose from a dispute, with Williams described as the sole suspect.
Did anyone in the area witness the argument on Greig Street that morning or have information about what led to the confrontation?
