Reginald Reggie Carroll, a 52-year-old comedian from Baltimore, was critically wounded by multiple gunshots at a rental home on Burton Lane in Southaven, Mississippi, on the evening of August 20, 2025. Emergency crews took him to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where he died of his injuries.

Investigators say the shooting occurred inside the Burton Lane residence Carroll shared with 38-year-old Tranell Marquise Williams. A 12-gauge shotgun was used, and authorities describe the event as an isolated incident and a private matter between two individuals. Tranell Marquise Williams was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with murder; he is being held without bond. Carroll had been on tour with fellow comedian Katt Williams, and reports indicate Tranell Williams was working as a security guard on that tour; officials say Katt Williams had no involvement. The case is being presented to a DeSoto County grand jury for indictment.

Are there witnesses or anyone who knew Carroll or his living situation who can share information about what happened that night?
