John R Wiegmann, 59, had recently moved back to the Nashua, New Hampshire area after living in Utah, Las Vegas, California, and Arizona. In early May 2009 he stayed at the Motel 6 on Progress Avenue and spent the evening of Saturday, May 2 visiting local restaurants and bars. He was seen that night wearing a green t-shirt, jeans, a brown windbreaker-style jacket and using a cane.
Between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. on May 2 he was observed getting into a green minivan with a distinctive sunspot about three to four inches in diameter on the passenger-side front fender just in front of the mirror. The next day, May 3, 2009, Wiegmann was found dead in his motel room; investigators determined he had been strangled. More than a decade later the murder remains unsolved, with no arrests announced and no suspects publicly identified. His family has publicly pleaded for information and law enforcement requests tips, especially about the green minivan.
If anyone remembers seeing John that evening or has information about the green minivan, please share what is known with investigators.
