Bruce Hall Jr., 43, was fatally shot while sitting in his parked pickup truck on a Sunday evening in the Pennypacker Park area of Willingboro, New Jersey. The shooting took place shortly after 9 p.m. on August 10, 2025, near Paddock Lane and Poppy Turn. Officers who responded to reports of gunfire found Hall unresponsive in the vehicle; he was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds. An autopsy was scheduled with the Burlington County Medical Examiner.

The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Willingboro Township Police Department led the investigation. Within weeks authorities identified three suspects from Willingboro. On August 12, 33-year-old Elijah B. Ervin was arrested; 39-year-old Shaheed L. Ervin was arrested on August 26; and 29-year-old Earl T. Johnson was taken into custody in Philadelphia on September 17. All three were charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and multiple weapons offenses. Elijah and Shaheed Ervin were held at the Burlington County Jail, and Johnson was detained in Philadelphia pending extradition to New Jersey.
