On July 28, 2025, a shooting in the 200 block of W. Elm Avenue in Stillwater, Oklahoma, left three people shot and two dead. Andrew Niles Rice Sr., 35, was found at the scene with fatal gunshot wounds. Also killed was 38-year-old Vanessa Henry. A third victim, 34-year-old Carman Murphy, identified as Rice’s recently wedded wife, survived and was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Rice was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma and a descendant of the Pawnee Nation, Otoe-Missouria and Sac & Fox Tribes. He is survived by two children, Andrew Rice Jr. and Amiyah Drapeau. Police identified 36-year-old Theodore DeMarrio McCloud of Langston as the suspect; officers located him later in Langston, and after an exchange of gunfire with Langston University police he was taken into custody and jailed on a $10 million bond as the investigation continued.
Does anyone have information about Andrew, the other victims, or the events that night that could help investigators?
