Consuelo D. Kerr, 53, was found fatally shot inside her Middletown, Ohio home at 3013 Mohawk Street on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Officers located her in the living room and attempted to contact her husband, 60-year-old Ronald Hazen Kerr, who remained inside the residence armed. Neighbors’ emergency calls reported a husband had shot his wife just before officers arrived.

Investigators say evidence indicates Ronald Hazen Kerr shot Consuelo Kerr before police reached the house. When officers tried to get to her, Ronald Kerr pointed a gun at them; officers fired and he died at the scene. The Butler County Coroner confirmed Consuelo Kerr died of multiple gunshot wounds. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation processed the scene and compiled reports, including EMS records, as part of the officer-involved shooting review, and prosecutors described the officers’ gunfire as justified.

No arrests were made; Ronald Hazen Kerr is the sole suspect named by authorities and he died at the scene. If anyone knew Consuelo Kerr or was in the neighborhood that evening, please share what you remember.
