Jacob Ray Williamson, 37, a Black man, was found shot to death late on the night of June 26, 2025, on Lyndsey Lane in the Shannon community of Robeson County, North Carolina. Deputies were dispatched at roughly 11:12 p.m., and Williamson was discovered deceased at the scene. The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division opened an investigation and appealed for information as detectives worked the case the following week.

Within days investigators arrested a 17-year-old and charged the youth with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and shooting inside an enclosure to incite fear; the juvenile was ordered held without bond at the Cumberland Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Detectives then arrested 18-year-old Kevin Hall of Shannon on similar charges, and arrests continued as the investigation widened. On July 8, 2025, 28-year-old Ann Marie Locklear of Maxton was taken into custody with U.S.

Authorities said those actions brought the total to five suspects—two adults, an additional adult and two juveniles—linked to the fatal shooting and robbery of Jacob Ray Williamson. The adults were held without bond at the Robeson County Detention Center and the juveniles confined at the regional juvenile facility. Each accused remains presumed innocent as the case moves toward the courts. If anyone has information about Jacob’s death or the events on Lyndsey Lane that night, please share what is known.
