A dispute outside a business in Penn Hills ended in gunfire and the death of Austin Lamont Turner. Turner, 31, of Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood, was shot on July 7, 2025, in the 11000 block of Frankstown Road near the intersection of Frankstown and Duff roads at about 6 p.m. He was taken to a nearby hospital and died roughly 40 minutes after the shooting was reported. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Turner and ruled the death a homicide.
Allegheny County Police were investigating and had not announced any arrests as of August 2025. Investigators said the shooting followed an argument with the owners of a local business and did not appear connected to a separate fatal shooting in the area the previous day. If anyone has information about what happened that evening, contact Allegheny County Police.
