A shooting in the small South Texas town of Runge left Michelle Jannsen dead on September 18, 2025. Deputies were called to a home in the 800 block of Leckie Street just before 11 p.m.; first aid was rendered but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified her as Michelle Jannsen but did not release an age at the time.

Within a day investigators named a suspect, 38-year-old Severiano Valdonado, who reportedly left the residence after the shooting and was considered armed and dangerous. The manhunt grew to multiple counties and Crime Stoppers offered a reward while investigators collected evidence and sought tips tied to Case #2025-14926.

Nearly two weeks later Texas Department of Public Safety bicycle patrol troopers located a man matching Valdonado’s description at an Austin encampment. He was taken into custody after a pursuit and Taser deployment and booked in Travis County on multiple charges; authorities noted he is the man accused of the Runge shooting on September 18. Memorial pages list Jannsen as lost to gun violence in Runge on that date.

Did anyone in Runge or Austin see activity around Leckie Street on September 18, 2025, or have information about the events that night?
