Myron Fulton, 39, was fatally shot on Harmon Street in Henderson, Tennessee, on the evening of June 15, 2025. A Chester County native born September 10, 1985, Fulton was a standout athlete at Chester County High School, where he graduated in 2004 and set the school record for most rushing yards. A 2005 workplace injury ended his playing career; he later served as an assistant football coach and study hall teacher at his alma mater. At the time of his death he worked as a car salesperson at Jones Motor Co. and had just purchased a Dodge Scat Cat two days earlier. He was a father to three sons and a daughter.
Officers found Fulton deceased at the scene; the shooter initially fled on foot. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, working with local and federal partners, identified Ashton Smith-Carter, born January 27, 1970, as the person responsible. Two juveniles were reported present during the incident. On June 16, 2025, Smith-Carter surrendered to Adamsville police and was booked into Chester County Jail on charges of First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder, and Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon Involved.
