Reyna Verdugo Morales, a 60-year-old Hispanic woman, was last seen on September 13, 2010, near Altar, Arizona, a corridor used by people crossing the border. She was described as between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 128 to 138 pounds, with black wavy hair and black eyes. The disappearance was reported to the Pima County Medical Examiner’s Office on September 29, 2010, and is filed as FSC MPR 1768.

At the time she was last seen Reyna wore a white long-sleeved blouse, black pants, white socks and black tennis shoes, and was carrying a black backpack. That backpack was later found abandoned in the desert; the contents and their significance have not been detailed. Few other facts about her movements or companions that day are available.
