Casandra Majano, 23, was found fatally shot inside a far east Fort Worth apartment on the night of October 22, 2025, after officers responded to a domestic disturbance. She suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 9 p.m. Detectives say the shooting followed an argument.

The alleged shooter left the apartment, then phoned authorities and admitted to the killing. Officers located and took into custody 28-year-old Nelson Garcia in Irving that night; police say Garcia told investigators he had shot Majano. Investigators processed the apartment complex, interviewed witnesses and coordinated with agencies across city lines because of the suspect’s arrest in Irving. Police described the case as an active domestic-violence investigation and had not publicly released details about any prior calls or a history of violence between the couple.

If anyone knew Casandra, lived near the 3700 block of Vaucluse Drive or has information about the incident, please share what is known.
