Antwone Miguel Sanders, 50, of Lexington died after a confrontation on the morning of Monday, October 20, 2025, in the 1200 block of Village Drive near Valley Park. Born March 28, 1975, Sanders grew up on Lexington’s east side, attended Lexington Catholic High School and Lafayette High School, and completed his diploma through the Job Corps. He was known for his love of music and had been a member of West Bend Missionary Baptist Church since 2021.

Police say Sanders argued with 54-year-old Roderick Lee Clay; the dispute escalated and both men shot each other. Officers pronounced both men dead at the scene. Personal crimes detectives concluded Sanders and Clay were the only people involved and that each shot the other; the department is closing the investigation with no other suspects identified.
