A confrontation in Lexington, Kentucky on October 20, 2025 ended in mutual gunfire that left two men dead. Officers responding about 10:50 a.m. found 54-year-old Roderick Lee Clay and 50-year-old Antwone Miguel Sanders suffering from gunshot wounds; both were pronounced dead at the scene and later identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
Investigators say the two men were involved in an argument that escalated into an exchange of gunfire and that evidence indicates Clay and Sanders shot each other. Police concluded there were no other people involved and the department moved to close the investigation with that finding; no arrests were made and no suspects were being sought.
Are there witnesses or anyone who knew Clay or Sanders who can add context about what led to the dispute?
