Kloin Taylor was a 14-year-old student at Sikeston Junior High School and a member of the school basketball team. Family remembered him as a positive presence who was always smiling and laughing; his sister Saniya Mcintyre and a former coach both spoke about how much he meant to those who knew him.

On the evening of October 16, 2025, an altercation between two groups of teenagers in Sikeston escalated and someone fired three rounds into a vehicle. One round fatally struck Kloin. In the days after the shooting, family, friends, and community members held a balloon release to honor him and raise awareness about gun violence.

Investigators identified a suspect who was 13 at the time of the shooting and the matter began in juvenile court. A juvenile judge later held a certification hearing and certified the case for adult prosecution. The suspect was publicly named as Thomas Ray Harris Jr., who was then 14, and the prosecutor charged him in adult court with murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action.

If anyone knew Kloin, his routines or the events that night, can you share information that might help clarify what happened?
