Leroy Moore, 53, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds on a pathway inside an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Randolph Street near South Alameda Street in Huntington Park around 3:15 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025. First responders pronounced him at the scene and the county medical examiner later identified him and classified the death as a homicide.

The shooting occurred in a quiet predawn residential pocket where the walkway cuts between buildings and residents use it as a shortcut. The public case listing carries number 2025-15985. Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau have taken over the investigation and asked the public for help; as of the reports released in the days after the killing no arrests or suspects had been named.
