Quadarius Hill, a 35-year-old Black man from Greensboro, was shot on the night of October 10, 2025, and later died at a hospital. Officers responded around 9:25 p.m. to the 1500 block of Willard Avenue in High Point and found Hill inside a vehicle; a 31-year-old High Point man wounded in the same incident was found inside a nearby home and survived after being hospitalized in serious condition.
Police said the shootings occurred elsewhere and that the two wounded men drove to Willard Avenue afterward. Investigators later clarified the fatal gunfire happened at Fern Avenue and Kent Street. Within a week, on October 17, 2025, officers arrested 28-year-old Kahlil Barrier of High Point and charged him with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, and officials said the attack was not random and that the victims and the suspect knew one another.
The department’s specialized units assisted in the arrest effort, and authorities encouraged anyone with information to come forward. Does anyone have information about Hill, his last movements, or the events around Fern Avenue and Kent Street on October 10?
