Neffeteria Nikki Henderson, 47, was found shot to death in her home on Thomaston Road in Lincoln, Alabama, on October 7, 2025. She was a Black woman who that morning had driven her husband to work in Pell City at about 4:45 a.m. and was believed to have returned home shortly after 5:00 a.m.; that was the last time she was known to be alive. A call to authorities around 3:00 p.m. led to the discovery and an immediate homicide investigation by the Lincoln Police Department.

Investigators say they do not believe the killing was random, but detectives have so far found few leads or witnesses. Central Alabama CrimeStoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest, and tips can be submitted anonymously. No arrests have been announced and no suspects have been publicly identified as the investigation remains active.
