Tyler Weaver, 25, was found dead inside a Forest City, North Carolina, home on the morning of October 24, 2025, after police were dispatched at about 9:50 a.m. Officers discovered Weaver on the floor at 114 Harris Lee Drive and Rutherford County EMS pronounced him deceased at the scene. An autopsy completed October 27 determined he died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police described the incident as a targeted robbery gone bad and said Weaver’s girlfriend was inside the residence, fled, and called 911 as the events unfolded. Investigators secured the neighborhood, searched nearby woods, processed the house for evidence, requested assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and developed persons of interest while conducting forensic follow-ups; no arrests or public suspect identifications have been announced.
