Christopher Kelley, 37, was shot and killed just before 11 p.m. on November 10, 2025, inside a small game room on the 5500 block of Botham Jean Boulevard in South Dallas. Dallas police and Fire-Rescue responded around 10:45 p.m.; Kelley was found gravely wounded and later died. The location, near the Bonton area and the SM Wright Freeway, had been a neighborhood gathering spot where people were spending a routine Monday evening when a confrontation inside the game room is believed to have escalated to gunfire.
Dallas Police list the case as homicide number 162098-2025. Detectives say Kelley was shot by an unknown suspect who fled the scene; no arrests or public identifications of a suspect had been announced as of mid-November 2025. His death was the third fatality in a string of separate homicides that day across the city.
Kelley’s name has been memorialized online and in a tribute describing him as a loved son, family member, and friend. Anyone who saw or heard anything that night is asked to contact Detective B. Billings in the homicide unit with tips or information.
