On the evening of November 7, 2025, 33-year-old Clarence Rosamore was shot at an apartment complex on Broadway Street in Beaumont, Texas. Officers responding to reports of gunfire at 2317 Broadway Street found Rosamore critically wounded by multiple gunshots; he was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

Police detained 26-year-old Eleazar Stansbury at or near the scene and booked him on a charge of murder. A magistrate initially set bond at $100,000, then a second magistrate raised it to $1.5 million. Detectives continued interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence and reviewing surveillance footage; no motive has been released and no additional suspects have been named publicly.
