A domestic dispute in Fairland, Maryland, ended in a fatal shooting on the evening of Thursday, November 6, 2025. Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue were dispatched at about 5:41 p.m. to a home in the 3000 block of Memory Lane, where 54-year-old Sarahi Concepcion Aragon-Cruz was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene after first responders attempted life-saving measures.

Investigators say the shooting followed an argument inside the home and soon focused on a male suspect known to the victim. Authorities identified the suspect as her 58-year-old husband, Edwin Javier Aragon. Two days later, on Saturday, November 8, Aragon voluntarily surrendered at the Montgomery County Department of Police 3rd District Station in Colesville. Detectives charged him with first-degree murder and the use of a handgun in the commission of a felony; he was held without bond pending further proceedings. An autopsy was scheduled with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine cause and manner of death.

Does anyone in the Fairland area have information about the events that evening or about the victim’s movements that could help clarify what happened?
