Montique Jenkins, 48, was fatally shot in her Arnold Street home in Pooler, Georgia, on November 1, 2025. Authorities have described the death as part of a domestic violence incident; she died of at least one gunshot wound. Two months earlier Jenkins had filed for divorce from her husband, citing infidelity, and family members say the shooting capped ongoing domestic problems.
Pooler police responded around 3:30 p.m. and discovered Jenkins dead. A suspect vehicle, a Ford F-150, prompted a manhunt. Her husband, Christopher Lashawn Jenkins, 48, was arrested in neighboring Effingham County and booked into the Chatham County Detention Center. He faces multiple charges including felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime; records show a prior 1999 conviction for a killing. He was also indicted for pointing a shotgun at another female family member in the home the night of the shooting.
Does anyone have information about the Arnold Street neighborhood or seen the Ford F-150 around Pooler on November 1?
