Alexander M. Borgen, 16, was killed in a drive-by shooting in Lacey, Washington, in the early hours of Friday, November 14, 2025. He and his 17-year-old brother, Deven, were walking through a familiar crosswalk at College Street Southeast and 24th Avenue Southeast just before 2 a.m. when multiple 911 callers reported gunfire. First responders found both boys with gunshot wounds; despite lifesaving efforts they were pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbors described a normally quiet residential corridor now turned into a site of mourning, with flowers, candles and notes left at the intersection. Investigators reviewed nearby surveillance footage and canvassed residents and businesses for video between 1 and 2 a.m. Prosecutors say police traced a suspect vehicle to a nearby home and used cell phone records and witness statements to link 20-year-old Trequanne Trenelle Wilson-Mason to the shootings; court documents allege he admitted to being the shooter. A second man, 20-year-old Jaden Johns, is accused of supplying an AR-15-style rifle with a 60-round magazine and driving the vehicle during the drive-by.

Both men are being held without bail on multiple counts, including two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of drive-by shooting; Wilson-Mason is also detained on a no-bail warrant from an earlier February 2025 domestic violence case.

Did anyone in the area see or record anything near College Street Southeast between 1 and 2 a.m. that could help investigators?
