On the afternoon of Friday, December 19, 2025, 35-year-old Jordan Warren was walking in the 1500 block of Baymeadows Drive in Valdosta, Georgia, when witnesses say two people approached and an armed robbery began. The assailants allegedly brandished a firearm and took a backpack from Warren. He produced his own weapon as he tried to defend himself and flee, but multiple shots were fired and Warren suffered a critical gunshot wound to the chest.

Emergency responders transported Warren to South Georgia Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators collected witness statements and surveillance footage that showed suspects running from the scene. Officers tracked the individuals to a nearby residence on the same block; within an hour they contacted occupants and found two teenagers matching the descriptions.

Police arrested 18-year-old Jeremiah Albritton and a 16-year-old juvenile male. Both were charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Investigators recovered items at the house and in a nearby wooded area believed to be connected to the robbery.
