On the evening of Wednesday, December 10, 2025, 25-year-old Arianna Nichole Fobes was shot in the 1900 block of Colony Court in Beloit, Wisconsin. She was transported to a local hospital but died later that evening from her injuries. Law enforcement opened a homicide investigation immediately after the shooting.
Police identified a vehicle believed linked to the shooting and shared information with nearby agencies. That same night Illinois State Police and local officers located the car and attempted a traffic stop; the driver fled and led officers on a high-speed pursuit westbound on Interstate 80 into Bureau County, Illinois. The vehicle stopped at the Great Sauk Trail Rest Area west of Princeton, where the sole occupant was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police said that person was a person of interest in the Beloit homicide; because the individual died at the scene, no arrest was made.
Arianna was a lifelong Beloit resident, a 2018 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School, and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her parents, Nikki Gunn and Shannon Fobes, and her two young daughters, Kahlani Willow and Khloe Rose. Does anyone who knew Arianna or who was in the area that evening have information that could help the investigation?
