Demar Cole, 20, was one of two people killed in an early-morning shooting on the 500 block of Coastal Dreams Avenue in North Las Vegas on December 7, 2025. Police responded just after 2:00 a.m. to reports of gunfire and found three people wounded; Cole and another victim were pronounced dead at the scene and a third person was taken to University Medical Center in stable condition. The coroner later ruled the deaths homicides caused by gunshot wounds.

Neighbors said the night had felt restless before the shooting, with voices and commotion they thought came from a party that may have spilled into an argument. Residents recalled prior police visits for disturbances at the home and said the shooting left the street feeling unsafe. Investigators said the shooter fled before officers arrived and described the incident as appearing isolated. No arrests or charges had been announced by late December 2025.
