Shortly before 3:00 a.m. on December 7, 2025, gunfire erupted outside the 818 Hookah Lounge on Lincoln Avenue in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, California. Surveillance footage shows nearly two dozen people running north on Lincoln Avenue; four people were struck and self-transported to hospitals. Twenty-five-year-old Elijah Dominguez was among the wounded and was later pronounced dead at a medical facility. He was remembered as a former varsity football player and a 2019 Oak Grove High School graduate.
Homicide detectives say a prior altercation inside the lounge may have set off the attack. The victim’s father, Jesse Dominguez, said a fight might have occurred earlier; security video reviewed by news outlets captured a group hastily leaving in a black vehicle around 2:55 a.m., which sped away minutes before police were called. As of the days immediately after the shooting, no arrests had been announced and investigators were seeking the occupants of that vehicle.
Did anyone see the black vehicle or the people who ran north on Lincoln Avenue that morning?
