Quan’Drevion Ja’Carey Perkins, 19, was fatally shot in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on the evening of December 4, 2025. Officers found Perkins suffering from fatal injuries; he died despite first responders’ efforts, and the death was classified as a homicide.

Family and community members held a visitation on December 19 at the Chapel of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations, followed by a Farewell Service on December 20 at First Baptist Church in Enfield; Perkins was buried in the Family Cemetery and the community lit over one hundred candles in his memory.
