A night out at The Wearhouse Night Club in Silsbee, Texas, ended in a double homicide after a parking-lot crash. In the early morning of November 30, 2025, 36-year-old Henry Carey Jr., of Kountze, and 29-year-old Khalil Ahmadrian Gooch were found near Fresenius Road at about 2:30 a.m. and were pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.

The shooting followed a sequence of collisions: Henry Carey Jr.’s truck reportedly struck a vehicle belonging to 21-year-old Kenny Ray Johnson of Baytown, whose car had already been involved in a minor accident with a female driver. Johnson and his companion, 22-year-old Deontray Deshunn Carey Jr. of Beaumont, allegedly approached Henry Carey Jr. to demand money rather than involve law enforcement. An altercation escalated and turned violent.

Both Johnson and Deontray Carey Jr. fled but were later located and arrested; a probable cause affidavit says Johnson admitted retrieving a firearm and firing three shots while Deontray Carey Jr. fired about six. They have each been charged with two counts of murder and booked into the Hardin County jail with bonds set at $2 million each; Deontray Carey Jr. also faces a stolen-firearm charge with a $10,000 bond. Autopsies for both victims were ordered by the Justice of the Peace.

If anyone was at The Wearhouse that night or saw activity on Fresenius Road around 2:30 a.m., can you share what you observed?
