In the early hours of Saturday, November 29, 2025, officers responded to the 200 block of 1st Avenue in Eastman, Georgia, after reports of a shooting. First responders found 44-year-old Ernie Lee Jordan with a gunshot wound; he was taken to a nearby trauma center and died the following afternoon, Sunday, November 30, 2025, after efforts to save him.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Eastman Police Department quickly identified a suspect. Authorities arrested 29-year-old Daysia Kiwanna Bolden, a resident of Eastman and a former intimate partner of Jordan, after an altercation outside the residence on 1st Avenue reportedly escalated into violence. Bolden was initially booked on aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

After Jordan’s death, investigators obtained additional warrants. On December 2, 2025, charges were upgraded to include malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, tampering with evidence, and simple battery, and the file was prepared for the Oconee District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

If anyone witnessed the incident on 1st Avenue or has information about what led to the shooting, please come forward.
