On the afternoon of November 28, 2025, 16-year-old Musafili Reyubeni was shot in a home in the 800 block of East 20th Street Road in Greeley, Colorado. First responders found him with a single gunshot wound around 4:00 p.m.; he was taken to North Colorado Medical Center on life support and died on November 30. Investigators say witnesses in the house identified 18-year-old Anthony Dominguez as the shooter. Dominguez had left the scene but was located and taken into custody a short time later. Authorities reported finding items at Dominguez’s residence that they described as symbolic of gang affiliation, and he was booked on preliminary charges including first-degree assault with serious bodily injury and unlawfully aiming a firearm, with charging documents to be updated to reflect Reyubeni’s death.
Reyubeni, a Log Lane Village resident visiting Greeley, was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. Family remembered him as adventurous and outgoing, a jokester who dreamed of playing football to help his mother. Police described the shooting as an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
Did anyone in Greeley or Log Lane Village know Musafili Reyubeni or have information about what happened that afternoon?
