A dispute inside a Gibson Street residence in Orangeburg, South Carolina, on the evening of Tuesday, January 13, 2026, ended with two people shot to death. Twenty-five-year-old Da’Mon Deondra Karlos Rice was fatally shot during an altercation; emergency responders later found him deceased inside a gray Honda at the intersection of Summer and Amelia streets. A six-month-old infant, Marco Frazier Jr., was also shot and was taken to a medical center where he died. The infant’s mother, Malyasha Zeigler, suffered a graze wound.

Authorities say an argument between two men turned violent and that one of the men left the scene in the gray Honda before being found dead in the vehicle. Thirty-year-old Marco Daveree Frazier surrendered to the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety later that night and was booked into the Orangeburg County Detention Center. Arrest warrants charge him with two counts of murder, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a pistol by a convicted felon. The investigation is ongoing.
