On the evening of January 12, 2026, gunfire rang out in an unincorporated north St. Louis County neighborhood. Police were called about 10:20 p.m. and found 36-year-old Shana Mack deceased inside her home on the 3700 block of Av de Paris Drive, suffering at least one gunshot wound. Neighbors reported hearing up to four shots and a car speeding away with screeching tires.

Investigators from the St. Louis County Police Department worked the scene; two bullet holes were observed in a second-floor window and crime scene tape was put up. This was the first homicide in unincorporated St. Louis County in the new year. In the days after the shooting detectives said the investigation remained ongoing and no suspects or arrests had been publicly identified.

If anyone heard or saw anything in the neighborhood that night, or has information about the vehicle that left the scene, please contact investigators.
