A birthday party in a Greenwood, Indiana neighborhood on the night of January 10, 2026 ended in gunfire that left two men dead. The gathering on Bent Branch Circle became violent after an argument between two men escalated; both reportedly drew handguns and opened fire. Officers arriving about 11:30 p.m. found several people with gunshot wounds.

Thirty-seven-year-old Kuldeep Singh was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, 38-year-old Virender Singh, was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and later died. Two other men were wounded; one was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in stable condition and a 23-year-old was taken to Franciscan Health Indianapolis by a friend.

The Greenwood Police Department’s investigation remained active as of mid-January 2026. No suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been announced.
